Vets: Tawe Veterinary Group - Swansea

Tawe Vets (VPI) Sketty, Swansea. When I booked an appointment for my dog to be spayed and have a hernia repair I was quoted a price of £169.00, I thought this was reasonable so went ahead and booked. On the morning of the operation I took my dog in. We were seen by Vet Andrew Burgess. Not impressed with his handling of my dog. Caught her leg on the holding cage as he placed her inside. No apology forthcoming. I collected the dog in the afternoon and was in for a very nasty suprise. Take in mind the price quoted, and the fact that I had only taken that amount in cash with me. The bill had increased to £204.00. I admit that I had a buster collar that was extra, but that still did not justify an increase of £35.00. When I asked for a breakdown of the bill, Andrew Burgess the vet got very unpleasant and almost made me out to be a liar, regarding the price quoted. He did refund me £6.00, overcharged medication, but that was all. I am really very reluctant to use this practice again....
